The Levine Gallery of Early American Lighting is an installation of Sandwich glass lighting devices from 1825 to the electric light bulb. An enthralling 3 1/2 minute demonstration takes you through this dramatic era of change in a darkened room where 50 spectacular lamps light one by one. Bask in the glow of candles, whale oil, camphene, kerosene and Edison’s first electric light.
