A great introductory class for those looking to learn the wheel. Students will learn about the materials and processes involved in creating a basic cylinder and bowl form on the Potter’s wheel. and firing. The basic skills of wedging, centering, pulling, trimming, glazing and firing will be covered along with a vocabulary with which to understand them. There will be demonstrations followed by lots of time to practice. Patience, practice and perseverance—the three P’s—will be key to enjoying working on the Potter’s Wheel.
