Greg Abate Jazz Quartet: Real Jazz in the Moment

Greg Abate—jazz saxophonist, flutist, composer, and international recording artist—spends 275 days each year touring the globe but will take time out to perform at the Cultural Center of Cape Cod with some of the region’s finest jazz players.

This is the real deal. Jazz to the bones.

Abate was recently inducted into the Rhode Island Music Hall of Fame, and for good reason! Phil Woods once said. “I sleep a lot better knowing there are alto players like Greg! It was a joy to make music with him and he writes good songs that are challenging.” His recent recording Magic Dance with Kenny Barron was number one on the JazzWeek charts for seven weeks.

Greg will be accompanied by pianist Ben Cook, bassist Todd Baker, and drummer Gary Johnson.
