Fundamentals of Woodturning with Dave Arnone

Learn the basics of woodturning in this fun hands-on class. Have you ever seen turned items, such as bowls, candle sticks, ornaments, and pens and wanted to create your own designs? This class will provide one-on-one instruction on using the wood lathe, lathe safety, turning tools, project design, and turning your own wood creations. Upon completion you will have the knowledge and confidence to begin exploring other shapes and designs.

While turning has been a hobby most of my life, retirement has allowed me the opportunity to begin focusing on developing my wood turning knowledge and skills. I enjoy the cognitive and technical aspects of turning and developing learning materials and opportunities to help others discover the joy of turning. I am a member of the American Association of Woodturners and locally, I serve on the Board of Directors for the Cod Woodturners Club.
