3 Thursdays, May 15-29, 9am-1pm. Member $180, Not-Yet-Member $200
It’s that time of year! Come create permanent unique garden art during this three-week 10-hour workshop with artist Mary Shea. Students will use the pinch method to sculpt and carve beautiful birds, branches, pods, and flowers to mount on garden stakes and adorn your outdoor spaces. No experience necessary. All materials and firings included.
May 15, 9 – 1, sculpt and carve
May 22, 9 -1 glazing
May 29 9-11, assembly onto garden stakes
Total 10 hours
Starting out as a designer in television and film, Mary Shea made the transition to the art classroom 25 years ago. It was during her graduate studies that she learned to be a student of ceramics: sculpting, building, and throwing. Mary is a member of CCftA, Cape Cod Potters, and Sandwich Arts Alliance.
