Celebration of American Automobiles

Join us for a Celebration of American Automobiles, on Saturday, September 12, from 10 am-2 pm. In addition to all of the gardens and galleries, visitors can enjoy vehicles from Heritage’s collection on display around the grounds, and watch the cars as they are exercised along the pathways throughout the day. Hoods will be open in our auto exhibit, From Carriage to Classic: How Automobiles Transformed America, and members of our Automobile Committee and the Director of Collections & Exhibitions will be on hand to “talk shop” and answer questions from the public. Family challenges and a scavenger hunt will be available as well. And as a special treat, members of the Bay State Corvair Club will showcase their vehicles as we highlight the 60th anniversary of the Chevrolet Corvair, one of the most forward-looking vehicles of the early 1960s.
