Celebrating Sculpture: 30th Anniversary of the Boston Sculpture Gallery

Highfield Hall hosts the Boston Sculptors Gallery this summer as they celebrate their 30th anniversary. Over 40 artists are creating site specific sculpture designed to punctuate the grounds, gardens, and public spaces inside the house. The exhibit will be in two parts, an outdoor installation and indoor installation.

Founded in 1992 by 18 artists and originally located in Newton, MA, within 4 years of opening Boston Sculptors was named “Boston’s best gallery” by Boston Magazine, while the Boston Globe hailed us as “the most innovative gallery around.” Since moving to the heart of Boston’s vibrant SoWa arts district in 2003, the gallery has grown to include 38 artist members, and become one of the city’s landmark cultural destinations. The Boston Sculptors Gallery is the only sculpture collaborative in the country that maintains its own gallery space.
