Cape Cod ArtWeek: Gallery Talk: Highlights of Heritage’s Fine and Folk Art Collections

To celebrate Cape Cod ArtWeek, drop-in for a Gallery Talk in the American Art & Carousel Gallery, where many of Heritage’s finest works are currently on display. In this program, Curator Amanda Wastrom will introduce participants to four of Massachusetts’ finest 20th century artists: master bird carver Elmer Crowell, marine painter Frank Vining Smith, and mid-century folk artists Martha and Ralph Cahoon. Amanda will present the story of each artist’s life, art, and artistic process. View examples of each artist’s best work, alongside unfinished pieces, sketches, tools, and other objects from their studios—all part of Heritage’s collection.
