Beginning and returning weavers can explore  creating texture in a warp by combining different yarns to be woven in a plain weave structure.   We will use the SAORI two-harness looms.  New weavers can weave on a pre-wound warp to learn the basic movements of the loom before creating their own warp.  Make a scarf or project of your choice.

Explore using weaving techniques of two color interlock (clasped weft), how to wind a bobbin, ending and adding new weft threads, and advancing the warp as your cloth (web) is created with each pass of the bobbin shuttle.  Enjoy the process of freestyle weaving that encourages weaving in the moment, trying different threads and colors, and accepting mistakes as part of the design.  Learn how to correct some mistakes that must or can be fixed.
