Four Tuesdays, beginning January 7 from 10am-noon
Fee: $140.00

Join Odin in a series of sessions that change their directive each month and are devoted to working in a smaller and more intensive learning environment, to improve specific artistic skills.

Fearless Painters will work on creating convincing and realistic snow on canvas with layers of acrylic paint, amazing color and even textural mediums. This month is devoted to that cold white stuff that graces our ground this time of year. Despite its cold feel, you can make snow feel warm and inviting, just like when you were a kid, by using rich layers of color and maybe even texture! We will also concentrate our efforts on seeing and painting shadow colors in a snowy scene as well. Students must have their own supplies and they should consider bringing a textural medium such as molding paste as well as interesting and well-lit photos (with shadows!) of snow to this class.

Please be prepared with your own reference material, including some good photos. Students should bring any paints, brushes, all supplies and any size canvases you wish to use.

These classes will help artists to become more confident in their own skills and bring a sense of self and creativity to their own work. Taking risks will be encouraged! Must be on an intermediate to advanced level and have their own supplies.

This class meets in Odin’s Studio on the upper level of the Education Wing.
