Becoming a Fearless Painter: Shape Up!

Join Odin in a series of sessions that change their directive each month and are devoted to working in a smaller and more intensive learning environment, to improve specific acrylic artistic skills.

In April, Fearless Painters will explore how breaking a painting into large shapes can serve as a foundation for good design. There are several ways to manipulate basic shapes of elements to create more dynamic paintings. This will result in more interesting forms that help move a viewer through the artwork. Painters will use positive and negative shapes together to help make stronger compositions and interest and will also help portray a sense of emotion in the work.

These classes will help artists to become more confident in their own skills and bring a sense of self and creativity to their own work. Taking risks will be encouraged! Must be on an intermediate to advanced level and must have their own acrylic supplies.

This class meets in Odin’s Studio on the upper level of the Education Wing.
