Becoming a Fearless Painter: Head in the Clouds

Join Odin in a series of sessions that change their directive each month and are devoted to working in a smaller and more intensive learning environment, to improve specific artistic skills.

Fearless Painters will be exploring painting expressive skies with varied techniques and brush work. Students will be attempting to connect their emotional response to the expanse and color of the sky, while finding a stable creative structure with an inherently unstable subject. This class will be one that encourages flow, flexibility and self-awareness. Students must have their own supplies and they should bring good sky photos and a strong imagination to this class.

Please be prepared with your own reference material, including some good photos. Students should bring any paints, brushes, all supplies and any size canvases you wish to use.

These classes will help artists to become more confident in their own skills and bring a sense of self and creativity to their own work. Taking risks will be encouraged! Must be on an intermediate to advanced level and have their own supplies.

This class meets in Odin’s Studio on the upper level of the Education Wing.
