There is a long tradition of artists expressing their love for nature in their work.

How can we shape our artistic practice to reflect the beauty of nature while thinking more sustainably? In this workshop, students will capture the energy of the changing season and gain meaningfully new perspective on their artistic practice. Join artist, forager, and sustainability advocate Grace Emmet in nature where students will cover some basic ecology and view the Cape Cod landscape in a new way. On day two, students will have the opportunity to dive into some basic sustainable artistic techniques such as paper-making, natural inks, and using foraged or upcycled materials. Artists will leave with a deeper understanding of earth conscious practices and how to love the earth through art. This class is open to artists and non-artists of any media.
