Working with artist Ana Johnson-Moore, students will learn the fundamentals of sketching and drawing in this 4-part class designed for beginners and students who want to hone their skills. Explore line work, composition and texture and learn to bring your ideas to life on paper. No experience necessary, just a desire to learn and have fun. Participants can look forward to learning in a supportive and inspiring environment.
Ana Johnson Moore has been an artist her entire life, creating work featuring vibrant color and striking contrast. She is inspired by travel and the stunning landscapes of Cape Cod. Her portfolio includes commissions ranging from pet portraits to children’s illustrations and expansive cityscapes, completed for clients across the US and abroad. Materials List:
. Drawing pencils (ranging from 2H to 6B for various shading and line work)
. Eraser (both a standard eraser and a kneaded eraser for finer details)
. Sharpener (preferably with a cover to catch shavings)

. Sketchpad (preferably 11’’x14’’ or larger, with medium-weight paper, tinted beige or gray)
. Ruler (for perspective and measuring)
. Spray fixative for pencils and pastels
. Artist Tape (to cover the edges)
. Blending stumps or tortillons (for shading and blending)
. Charcoal pencils (optional, for more expressive, bold drawings)
