King crab is the most sought-after crab species in the world. The first thing most would notice about this crab, and one of its most impressive qualities, is the sheer size. A king crab can easily reach a 5-6 foot span when measuring from middle leg to middle leg on either side. The most exciting thing about the size of these crabs is the size of the delicious meat that comes off them. It was introduced artificially by the Soviet Union into the Murmansk Fjord, Barents Sea, during the 1960s to provide a new, and valuable, catch in Europe. Tonight, we will start with king crab tempura, then with black beans chilies and sake, then classic steamed with drawn butter and finish with what else but Baked Alaskan flambé! Tonight, we will taste sakes.
