Al Lachman’s workshop seeks to cover two important but seldom talked about areas:  Imagination…and a pure approach to painting.

“I speak to my fellow artists as I would talk to myself, dealing with the same challenges we all face by finding simple, imaginative solutions to them.  We’ll learn how to paint a scene, simplifying it in a way that will put us in control of it immediately.  It doesn’t matter what medium (watercolor, oils, acrylics, pastels, etc.) an artist works in or their skill level.  Therefore, beginners as well as professional artists can benefit from this approach.”

The goal of the workshop is to answer the three questions that have puzzled most artists throughout history:
1. What to paint?
2. How to paint it?
3. When is it finished?

Al accomplishes this by teaching the effective use of premises.  Through the use of premises,
one can immediately tap into one’s creative side, which will bear immediate results.
